About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher to inspire students through literature, language, and creative expression. The successful candidate will develop students' critical thinking, communication skills, and appreciation for the English language across all secondary levels.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver comprehensive English lessons covering literature, language analysis, creative writing, and communication skills
  • Guide students through classic and contemporary literary works, fostering critical analysis and interpretation abilities
  • Develop students' writing skills across various genres including essays, creative pieces, and formal compositions
  • Assess student progress through diverse evaluation methods including oral presentations, written assignments, and examinations
  • Prepare students for external English language and literature examinations
  • Create a classroom environment that encourages reading, discussion, and creative expression
Role Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English Language, English Literature, or related field
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with strong grammar and composition skills
  • Deep knowledge of literary works, genres, and critical analysis techniques
  • Understanding of language development and age-appropriate pedagogical approaches
  • Strong classroom management abilities and experience engaging secondary school students
Nice to have:

Teaching qualification in English language or literature

Previous experience teaching English at secondary level

Additional qualifications in creative writing, journalism, or drama

Experience with digital literacy tools and online learning platforms
