About the role
We are seeking a passionate Secondary French Teacher to deliver high-quality French language instruction to secondary school students. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop proficiency in French language skills while fostering an appreciation for Francophone cultures and literature.

Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach French lessons that build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills across all secondary levels
- Bring French culture into the classroom through literature, music, films, and cultural activities
- Track student progress and provide helpful feedback to support their language learning journey
- Get students ready for French language exams and certifications
- Create opportunities for students to practice French outside the classroom through clubs or cultural events
- Work with other teachers to connect French learning with other subjects
Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in French, Modern Languages, or related field with strong French fluency
- Excellent French language skills - you should be comfortable teaching grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Understanding of how people learn second languages and what works best for different age groups
- Great communication skills in both English and French
- Experience planning lessons and assessing student work
Nice to have:
Teaching qualification in modern foreign languages
Previous experience teaching French at secondary level
DELF/DALF certification or other French language credentials
Experience living in a French-speaking country
